Qorvo is looking for a summer intern in the Yield and Quality group of Qorvo’s NC wafer fab.  The intern will be immersed in a variety of Device Engineering projects, working directly with fab engineers. The intern will be involved with KGD & AOI map classification, yield monitoring and yield improvement projects.

 

This is a full-time intern position located in GreensboroNC. The position will be temporary in nature and will last approximately 3 months (May– August 2021).

 

Desired Degree: BS/MS, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, Industrial

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • GPA 3.0 and above
  • Degrees: BS/MS with data Science Background
  • Strong Statistic data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Candidate must be a currently enrolled student in a degree-seeking accredited program

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support fab operation by maintaining and improving Yield web reports
  • Identify new yield improvement opportunities by analyzing fab data
  • Help developing and improving KGD & AOI map classification tools
  • Make improvement to the existing convoluted neural network pattern recognition tools
  • Enhance fab data collection by implementing barcoding into new process areas, working with IT team to calculate, store and use reticle statistics
