NOTE: Because this is a student internship, candidate must be a currently enrolled student in a degree-seeking accredited program.

This is a full-time Intern position located in Greensboro, NC. The position will be temporary in nature and last approximately 12-months.

Job Summary:

The intern is expected to:

1) Monitor EDA Engineering issue tracking system

2) Dispatch and assign issues to the appropriate teams/personnel

3) Become familiar and abide by Si PDK Team processes and procedures

4) Become familiar and practice using Cadence Virtuoso and Siemens Calibre to review design support issues

5) Advise designers on how to resolve routine issues; consult Si PDK Team on complex issues

6) Develop documentation as needed for team processes and methods

 

Desired Degree: BS Electrical Engineering

Qualifications:

  •  Comfortable using technical and non-technical computer software
  •  Familiarity with electrical circuit elements
  •  Familiarity with Linux operating system
  •  Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  •  Above-average communication skills; friendly and personable

Responsibilities:

  •  Daily monitoring, dispatch, and disposition of EDA Engineering issues
  •  Daily communication and follow-up with designers on their technical issues
  • Use and develop proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso design software
  •  Use and develop proficiency with Siemens Calibre design software
  •  Help to identify gaps in team processes and resolve by developing documentation
