As a Senior Engineering Technician, you’ll be assisting with the assembly, test setup, testing, and data formatting of prototype and released RF integrated systems. Test applications include analog, digital, RF, and integrated circuits. You will be expected to perform a wide variety of duties, from manual hand clamp testing of multi part lots, to highly complex RF testing, debugging, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Working from data sheets, schematics, diagrams, and/or verbal instructions to assemble and test RF circuits and systems.
• Setup, maintenance, and calibration of RF equipment, test benches, and characterization test racks.
• Assisting in determining methods or actions for continued internal or customer quality improvement.
• Soldering and rework of RF components on a PCB using a microscope when necessary.
• Assisting in the layout, testing, and debugging of test bench setups.
• Collecting, filtering, and documenting large amounts of data using Excell or Spotfire.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Electronics is required.
• Good understanding of electronic component operation.
• Have a good understanding of RF Test Equipment such as: Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers.
• Have a good understanding of RF test setups such as: Harmonics, VSWR, and Rx Band Noise.  
• Previous hands-on experience soldering 01005 SMD components and RF BGA modules.
• Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills while working with small components viewed under a microscope.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and Office software.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills: Asking Questions, Active Listening, and Conflict Resolution.
• Self-motivated and being able to multitask.
• Team player, working with all levels of Qorvo personnel.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience performing engineering technical support; semiconductor device testing experience is a plus.
