About the Position
Equipment Maintenance Technicians are integral members of our Wafer Fab operation in Equipment Engineering that delivers high quality, efficient manufacturing and advanced technologies that produce innovative RF products and solutions to Qorvo’s industry-leading wireless device and network customers.

 

They are responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment. This is a challenging position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

 

We currently have entry to senior-level openings to support Wet Clean, CMP, Scrubbers, Grinders, Saws and other Fab Finish equipment.

What You Will Do

 

Relying on your strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, you will:

 

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Fab equipment, as well as equipment improvements and upgrades
  • Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool break downs
  • Monitor and analyze tool data and make recommendations for improvements to maintenance procedures to address related issues
  • Work with engineers to design and execute equipment improvement projects

 

What You Will Need

 

  • Associate’s degree in technical related field and/or Military Electronics training OR prior Technician experience in a wafer fab
  • Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge/skills
  • Proficiency in use of computers, including MS Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across functions
  • Strong time management skills to enable on-time task completion
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform physical requirements: stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment


Experience with the following equipment is a plus:

  • Thin Films CVD Equipment including Novellus Concept Two (C-2) and/or Mattson Aspen II and/or SPTS fxP Delta. Senior experience with any modern CVD platform will be considered
  • Thin Films IMPLANT Equipment including Varian and/or Axcelis Implanters, preferably experience with Axcelis 8200 and/or GSD AMAT/Varian E-500. Senior experience with comparable implanters will be considered
  • Thin Films Sputter Deposition (PVD Equipment), including Trikon Sigma 200 and/or Aviza/SPTS fxP Sigma and/or AMAT Endura experience. Senior experience with comparable sputter tools will be considered
  • Etch HDP including Aviza/SPTS fxP Sigma. Experience in any modern HDP cluster tool (AMAT, etc) will be considered
