Summary:
Qorvo’s US EDA Software team is seeking a talented software engineering manager. The ideal candidate chosen for this role will lead the team to provide user friendly, seamlessly integrated software suites for improved design methodologies, automate simulation workflows, and general automation. This role will initially be split 50/50 between team management and individual contribution as a software developer.
Key Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and mentor a team of talented software engineers through concurrent key software projects
- Engage key internal stakeholders to define future projects and understand automation gaps
- Establish KPI’s and metrics to track the team’s performance
- Research, architect, implement, deploy, and manage internal software applications
- Develop a strategic roadmap for building and managing internal applications that solve challenges and improves operational efficiency
- Writing and implementing efficient code
- Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems, or issues
- Develop Ci/CD pipelines utilizing Gitlab, Docker, and our internal Kubernetes cluster
- Take ownership of critical software projects and successfully deliver results
- Enabling a positive and engaging team environment
Technical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Excellent Python or C++ programming capabilities
- Well versed in Object Oriented Design (OOD), programming and design patterns
- Experience in SCRUM (Agile) development process
- Extensive experience in the full life cycle of the software design process including requirement analysis, design, prototyping, coding, documentation, implementation, and maintenance
- Strong version control skills utilizing GIT
- Strong familiarity with the use of IDEs
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data-structures
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Exposure to Docker and containers

Required Education & Experience:
- BS in Computer Science with 6 or more years of experience
- MS in Computer Science with 4 or more years of experience
- 2+ years managing software engineering teams
