Decawave is a pioneer in ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and provider of UWB solutions for mobile, automotive and IoT applications. Decawave was founded in 2007 and has deployed chipsets in more than 40 different market verticals – from smartphones to drones. In February 2020 the company became part of Qorvo and with that, the Ultra-Wideband Business Unit (UWBU) within Qorvo Mobile Products
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gain experience working with ARM based embedded systems and System-on-a-chip (SOC) supporting cutting-edge UWB radio technology
- Learn about SOC embedded software development and SOC peripherals including the UWB radio and its utility to support data communications, and two-way ranging and other real time location systems (RTLS) use cases.
- Report and presentation at the end of the internship on the work performed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The successful candidate should have completed their bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent with a GPA of at least 3.0 and be enrolled in a software focused MSc or PhD programme in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent.
- The student must have completed course work and show good understanding of software design and communications protocols, and be familiar with embedded systems, C programming and debugging.
- Familiarity with wireless communications protocols would be an advantage as would knowledge of Python.
- Good communicator with an eagerness to learn, solve problems and make an impact.
