Decawave is a pioneer in ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and provider of UWB solutions for mobile, automotive and IoT applications. Decawave was founded in 2007 and has deployed chipsets in more than 40 different market verticals – from smartphones to drones. In February 2020 the company became part of Qorvo and with that, the Ultra-Wideband Business Unit (UWBU) within Qorvo Mobile Products

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain experience working with Qorvo UWB transceiver ICs, performing radio measurements with specialised lab equipment and develop software to run automated tests.
  • Complete hardware validation test campaigns, both on internal reference designs and customer hardware.
  • Work with software engineers on specific embedded software programming tasks.
  • Report and present out at the end of the internship on the work performed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The successful candidate should have completed their Bachelor's degree with a grade of at least 2.1 in electronic engineering, or equivalent, and be enrolled in an MS or PhD programme.
  • The student should have completed course work and show good understanding of analog and RF engineering principles.
  • Software programming skills in languages such as C and Python are also desired.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor) and EM simulation tools (e.g. Ansys HFSS) is a bonus.
  • Good communicator with an eagerness to learn, solve problems and make an impact.
