Director, Marketing

Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of highly skilled global marketing professionals to align marketing, engineering, and sales to drive Qorvo connectivity components solution success across multiple market segments and customers leading to attainment of clearly defined revenue, design win, and profitability goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Management
    • Coach, develop and direct a highly skilled team of marketing professionals
    • Align marketing resources across internally and externally facing tasks related with product development and promotion
    • Coordinate the development and promotion of multiple product segments resulting in a cohesive and comprehensive business unit market strategy
    • Tracks, documents, and understands customer business growth, projections, and business health (rev/profitability)
  2. Business development
    • Survey’s market and customer needs and identifies value proposition in a given market space.
    • Provides market input to product definition (requirements, differentiators, timing, cost, etc.)
    • Responsible for design win, revenue generation and market share within assigned region and customer.
  3. Product marketing and customer engagement
    • Develops and maintains customer targeted presentations and support materials.
    • Develops, maintains, and provides clear and compelling marketing collateral to the field and sales teams for the purpose of customer engagement.
    • Engages with sales team to understand customer opportunities and to promote, track, and drive success of products and product segments.
  4. Maintains current status of customer requirements
    • Tracks, documents, and understands current system architectures.
    • Identifies problems or areas of potential value creation.
    • Discusses system architecture with customer to gather potential opportunities for engagement and influences customer decision making.
    • Translates potential system problems or opportunities into clear product level requirements and/or product differentiators to internal PLM/development teams.
    • Tracks competitor activity and provides competitive benchmarking guidance in support of product development.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in technical field required, MS preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in technical field.
  • Experience in management or cross-functional team coaching preferred.
  • Extensive systems and applications experience related to Wi-Fi/cellular implementation.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in global customer facing interactions.
  • Self-motivated, proactive.
  • Excellent communicator with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
