The Client Services Technician will build, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user computing systems while maintaining buildroom inventory and tracking work in a ticketing system.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Supporting a corporate site of ~100 employees, from an IT perspective
  • Providing timely and exceptional Executive/VIP IT support
  • Imaging Windows-based computer systems
  • Troubleshooting a variety of issues relating to both computing hardware and software
  • Provide on-site support for IT infrastructure upgrades
  • Diligent tracking and maintaining of Buildroom inventory
  • Engage internal (and potentially external) customers to resolve issues and/or assist with ordering equipment
  • Utilizing command line utilities to install, repair, and configure computer software
  • Accurate tracking of work, issues, resolutions, and time via an internal ticketing system (Service Now)
  • Utilizing Microsoft Intune to provision and troubleshoot both Windows workstations and Mobile devices
  • Describing complex IT-related topics to end users and VIPs
  • Keeping up in a fast-changing IT environment
  • Learning to support new technologies and software as needed
  • Troubleshooting, ordering, and maintaining the following: 
    • Printing hardware & software drivers 
    • iOS and AndroidOS based mobile devices 
    • MacOS computers 
    • Docking stations 
    • Monitors 
    • Various peripherals such as keyboards, mice, headsets, etc… 
  • Troubleshooting endpoint networking-related issues
  • Adhering to all corporate IT Security policies

 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • EDUCATION and YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 
    • Associates in Information Technology or Equivalent
    • 3-5+ years’ experience in an IT related role
    • Preferred: Comptia A+, Network+, and/or ITIL Certifications

 

  • RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot computing hardware 
    • Extensive experience troubleshooting the Windows operating system and a variety of software issues
    • Familiarity with server and networking infrastructure
    • Creating, assigning, and maintaining IT tickets in Service Now
    • Creating and modifying objects in Active Directory
    • Basic understanding of maintaining, troubleshooting, and configuring core infrastructure for a single site (network, servers, etc.)
    • Performing basic device management tasks in Microsoft Intune
    • Experience working in the Windows CLI
    • Experience troubleshooting networking issues on a variety of devices (i.e. Windows, iOS, AndroidOS, MacOS, etc.) 
    • Experience troubleshooting Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) 
    • General knowledge of proper IT Security practices

 

  • Preferred Experience: 
    • Powershell Scripting 
    • Troubleshooting legacy Windows-based computers (i.e. Windows XP & 7) 
    • JAMF - MacOS MDM Management Tool 
    • Code42 CrashPlan Backup software 
    • Experience dealing with major mobile phone carrier issues (i.e. Verizon and AT&T)
