Qorvo’s Characterization Engineering Internships are offered in our Advanced Cellular business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Creation of automated test software, using languages like C, to control test equipment and execute test sequences
  • Assist on the design and development of test hardware solutions to perform complex RF and mmW measurements
  • Perform RF and mmW test equipment evaluation and down selection
  • Support RF characterization testing and data analysis to provide full compliance information on Qorvo products
  • Measure RF products and test devices using test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators and digital pattern generators
  • Process, verify and analyze the measured data; produce clear concise presentations and reports
  • Develop custom tool sets to aid in data visualization and big data analysis, lab efficiency tracking, and lean manufacturing metrics

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing BS, MS, PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Analog/RF circuit design course work preferred
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as VB.NET, C# or other object-oriented language
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-Starter with good communication skills
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
