SUMMARY:

Characterization Test Engineer:  This position will be working with the product development team in our Advanced Cellular Group, developing automated test measurements, collecting performance test data, and supplying conformance test reports for each of our products in development.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement automated RF test solutions to support the characterization of the DC and RF performance of RF integrated circuits (RFIC’s) such as Power Amplifier Modules with integrated duplexers and switches (PAMiDS).
  • Generate test plans (e.g., equipment setup, programming, data analysis and distribution) based on review of device test specs and requirements
  • Work with design and applications engineers to coordinate test plans and report formats
  • Write characterization software for test automation using Microsoft C#.NET, VB.NET
  • Train other engineers and technicians on platform use, RF test methodologies, and custom tool usage
  • Analyze and present results for review using Excel and Spotfire

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSEE or MSEE
  • Experience in RF hardware and software test development using object-oriented programming languages such as C#.NET and VB.NET
  • Strong understanding of analog, digital, and RF theory preferred
  • Familiarity with RF equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Duplexer, Filter, Coupler)
  • Familiarity with Mobile communication standards (GSM, EDGE, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE, LTEA, 5GNR) along with measurements (ACLR, EVM, SEM, IMD, S-Parameters)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
  • Strong collaboration and team skills with a continual learner attitude
