Responsibilites: 

  • Responsible for managing the daily supplier interaction to ensure continuity of supply for Spare parts to support Operations.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, logistics and engineering. departments applicable to ensure delivery of goods and services according to plan.
  • Responsible for oversight of PO structure, timely purchase orders submittal and follows-up with suppliers on orders and related issues.
  • Expedites and schedules materials necessary to meet plant operating requirements.
  • Works with Accounts payable to resolve any Good Receipt/Invoice Receipt issues.
  • Leads or supports request for quote, request for proposals, vendor negotiations as required by the business.
  • Supports inventory management strategies, and recommends cost saving opportunities.
  • Supports Category Manager with vendor set up and vendor maintenance process.
  • Material master data upkeep.
  • Responsible for keeping systems updated (SAP, SNC, Internal Repair Portal, etc.).
  • Supports Category Manager on implementation of commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and development of new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
  • Maintain communications with supply base; ensure requirements and expectations are provided to suppliers and convey feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Interacts closely with suppliers, Category Manager and Supplier Quality team to ensure supplier performance issues are resolved effectively and promptly. 
  • Leads and organizes meetings as required to ensure supply continuity.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing improvement initiatives and standardization.
  • Interacts with Fab Material Manager to complete, expedite, delay, or cancel POs.
  • Support production planning and warehouse inquiries about order status, changes.
  • Primary interface between Qorvo and vendors for rescheduling, expediting, and managing changes to purchase orders, delivery shortages, and missed or late deliveries.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study.
  • 1 or more years of procurement experience preferred but not required.
  • Relevant internship experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • SAP systems experience related to maintaining responsibility for system data integrity, to ensure disruption free supply of materials and services.
  • Proficiency with MS Office package, with high degree of knowledge in MS Excel & PowerPoint and Tableau. 
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Aware of safety handling and storage basic requirements.
  • Strong drive for creating value for internal customers, creating strategies for cost savings.
  • Ability to anticipate roadblocks with suppliers and take proactive steps to resolve issues.
  • Strong technical background; able to comprehend and communicate technical issues to internal customers from repair vendors and original equipment manufacturers.
  • Analytical skills are required to calculate materials requirements, inventory trends, and forecasts.
  • Problem Solving and Negotiation Skills.
