Sr Applications Engineer

As a Sr. Applications Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor for the promotion and deployment of emerging use cases based on the UWB technology as being specified by the FiRA consortium. You will belong to the Customer Application Support team in charge of Secure Embedded Transactions and Fine Ranging applications covering the Americas Region and part of a worldwide technical community providing premium pre and post sales technical support to QORVO UWBU customers and their projects. You drive demand creation and design-in activity at customer sites in close cooperation with the QORVO UWBU business lines; you provide technical skills & support to QORVO UWBU’s sales staff and will liaise with the QORVO UWBU technical community about technical issues and future roadmap of your customer(s). We rely on you to deliver the QORVO UWBU value message in a persuasive and accurate manner, in order to increase our market share.

    • 100% Accountable to drive design wins in their target accounts
    • Leads proof of concept, solution design and demonstrations to secure QORVO UWBU out solutions the competition and secures the win
    • Synthesizes customer and competitive insights to improve product definition and roadmaps
    • Project manages the QORVO UWBU design in campaigns for assigned customers to ensure early involvement in the customer’s technology roadmap and continuous and timely flow of information to all necessary parties within the BL and customer
    • Fully understands how ecosystem solutions can position QORVO UWBU in the best possible manner
    • Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements and establishes QORVO UWBU's value proposition/position relative to the competition
    • Qualifies the value of QORVO UWBU's products (strengths versus competitive products) and quantifies the technical benefits derived from choosing QORVO UWBU
    • Owns the block diagram process to ensure broader technical team understands the full system requirements
    • Delivers ongoing formal and informal knowledge sharing and product positioning that helps assigned accounts understand the operational, financial, and business impact of QORVO UWBU solutions within their practice areas
    • Successfully builds relationships with sales team members, business lines, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives
    • Analyzes customer's technical objectives through the use of relevant data gathering techniques enabling the sales team to be more predictive, effective and responsive to customer needs
    • Assists in educating Field Sales Engineers on new technologies, new product features and their related business value



    • Manage projects on both detailed technical and high level abstraction levels
    • Masters the fundamental mechanics of the sales call
    • Ability to influence and communicate the value of QORVO UWBU’s products, based on inspiration, motivation and product expertise

In that role, you will be responsible for the promotion and deployment of UWB technology and solutions at our key customers and partners.  

For that purpose, you will need to own  :

    • Genuine understanding of Embedded systems architecture. Previous working experience in implementing under Real Time constraint (RTOS) is a definitive plus
    • Comprehensive programming skills in C, Java and scripting languages and an exposure to Software development and delivery best practices. Working knowledge of Android and Linux environment is required.
    • Education and ideally working knowledge of  Wireless communications (BLE, Wi-Fi, UWB) is expected.
    • Passion for working with Customers and participating to the development of innovative solutions in the area of Location Based services, Access Control and Secure Payment. A proven experience in one of the above domain is a differentiator.
    • 2-5 years of experience
