Summary:

 Qorvo’s BAW R&D Data Infrastructure team is seeking a talented data infrastructure engineer for semiconductor process automation. The candidate chosen for this role will develop data infrastructure and software tools to support efficient development and production of new Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) filter technologies. The candidate will use MATLAB, databases and other software tools for faster visualization of results, process control improvements, and general automation to efficiently develop and produce those new technologies.

Key Roles and responsibilities:

• Research, architect, implement, deploy, and manage internal software applications
• Work closely with process engineers to understand new BAW technology needs and architect\coordinate software developments both internal to the team and external (within Qorvo)
• Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics
• Writing and implementing efficient code
• Testing and evaluating programs
• Provide comprehensive support to internal customers: resolve outstanding problems or issues
• Take ownership of critical data infrastructure projects and successfully deliver results in a timely manner

Technical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

• Excellent MATLAB or Python programming capabilities
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor processing
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Version control utilizing Git
• Good knowledge of SQL database (Oracle is a plus)
• Practical knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Experience in the full life cycle of the software design process including requirement analysis, design, prototyping, coding, documentation, implementation, and maintenance

• Experience with software product development for semiconductor processing preferred 
• Good understanding of electromagnetics, physics, or material science
• Familiarity with GitLab workflows and pipeline automation
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and GitHub Copilot
• Good experience with SQL database: query, PL/SQL scripts
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Spotfire or similar application
• Performed unit testing in past development projects

Required Education & Experience:

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Material Science with 1 or more years of SW development experience.
