Job Summary:
This position will establish best known practices across Qorvo for RF front-end module simulation flow. The candidate will work towards the standardization of the Full Module Simulation design flow, by defining and testing new tools (mainly in ADS) the design teams will use during their module design process.
The candidate will collaborate with the module design community, understanding their needs from a flow improvement standpoint and translate those into the requirements the software team will use to develop the tools that will fulfill the module design community needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and test new tools for RF front-end module design flow automation.
- Standardize design flows and define requirements to be implemented by the software team.
- Assist Qorvo designers with creating RF front-end module simulations using Qorvo best practices.
- Interface with 3rd party Electronic Design Automation (EDA) vendors to communicate Qorvo specific needs for vendor product support, maintenance and development.
- Work with a team of Design Applications engineers tasked with supporting internal and external design tools.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing MS or PhD in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering. Double degree in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is desired.
- Strong RF/Microwave circuit design background.
- Familiar with high performance RF front-end module, RFIC and MMIC design flows.
- Proficiency with major electronic design automation (EDA) software platforms (ADS and HFSS preferred).
- Knowledge of RF measurement equipment and RF test structures.
- Experience with Python and C programming is highly desired.
- Familiar with Windows and Linux computer systems.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
