The Advanced Process Quality Engineer will help strengthen engineering quality processes across system, software, hardware, and validation teams. This role will support ASPICE implementation, assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a senior member of the Process Quality Engineering team, this person will also mentor other PQEs, review process deliverables, and serve as a key quality partner to engineering and Software Quality Assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support quality planning, metrics, and goals across the full project lifecycle.
  • Partner with system, software, hardware, and validation teams to ensure quality targets are clear, measurable, and aligned to project needs.
  • Strengthen requirements quality, traceability, and requirements management practices.
  • Drive process improvements that support ASPICE adoption, engineering execution, and organizational consistency.
  • Support internal and external ASPICE assessments, audits and related quality reviews.
  • Communicate process quality status, risks, and improvements to engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Mentor PQE team members, review process deliverables, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Serve as a key interface between Process Quality, Software Quality Assurance, and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in process quality, software quality, systems engineering, automotive engineering processes, or a related area.
  • Strong ASPICE experience, including implementation, development, assessment support, or process deployment.
  • Knowledge of IATF requirements and quality expectations in an automotive or regulated engineering environment.
  • Experience with requirements engineering, requirements quality, and requirements management.
  • Working knowledge of static analysis, unit testing, integration testing, qualification testing, and structured problem solving such as 8D.
  • Ability to translate standards and quality requirements into practical engineering processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across global teams and time zones.
  • Ability to influence engineering stakeholders, guide team members, and verify process execution.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in automotive software development or embedded systems development.
  • ASPICE certification or formal ASPICE assessor training.
  • Experience leading projects or cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in a functional safety environment.
