RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the BU General Manager and other members of the leadership team; provide advice and counsel on a wide range of issues facing the business
  • As a partner to the business unit, proactively identify opportunities to grow the business and reduce costs, perform analyses to support investment decisions and resource allocation
  • Support the establishment of new financial processes, systems, and structure to support successful integration of the division consistent with the operating style of the company. This includes implementation of specified operating metrics and management reporting to track performance and achievement of financial objectives
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial analyses for significant transactions, and major capital expenditure proposals
  • Present BU leadership team with a clear and concise review of current and projected operating results
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret financial reports that indicate trends, variances, risks, and opportunities associated with operational spend, capital investment, and inventories.
  • Develop deep understanding of the causal operational factors of financial results inclusive of yield, utilization, and economic influences. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; model scenarios of various strategies.
  • Assist in the evaluation and analysis of proposed capital investments.
  • Facilitate timely development of financial plans, including sales, profits, operating expenses, and capital spending
  • Proactively assess key assumptions underlying unit plans; identify major risks and opportunities and compare to management expectations
  • Conduct forecasting, monthly results analysis, ad hoc financial models, systems development, and management/financial reporting in support of the business unit

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree required in Business, Finance or Accounting (MBA a plus), or relevant experience
  • Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment desired
  • 5+ years in finance experience; controller experience is preferred
  • Strong MS Office skills required and SAP/BPC experience desired
  • Good communications skills, logical thinking, detail oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of ERP based transaction systems
  • Ability to extract and analyze large amounts of data and derive meaningful information
  • Effective communication and influencing skills; solid business acumen
  • Outstanding financial analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive both process improvement as well as cost savings
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, v-lookups and data migration
  • Attitude: persistent and relentless, ambitious, inquisitive, self-starter who identifies opportunities for improvement and pursues change
