Job Summary:
Design concepts: Research of advanced design topologies and/or incorporating new BAW technologies to achieve targeted design goal and improve filter performance. Project (s) objective, the intern will learn Qorvo BAW design flow, from schematic level to fully implemented filter. He/she will investigate different topologies and how they can be implemented using BAW technology.
Reverse engineering: Tear down of competitive part and conduct detailed analysis of the performance, design, and technology used. In addition to using similar BAW design flow as the first project, Intern will learn various processes used in failure analysis lab.
Responsibilities:
- Perform topology analysis to improve target design
- Realization of the filter layout with BAW technology
- Implementation of the laminate and full module simulation
- Extraction of topologies for each filter and multiplexer networks from competitor parts
- Competitor performance fit from measurements to extract filter parameters
Qualifications:
- Pursuing MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Completed some course work in RF/Microwave circuit design
- Experience with electromagnetic/RF simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, AWR etc.)
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
- Familiar with RF measurement and its equipment: spectrum analyzers and network analyzers
- Experience with filter design, impedance matching, or RF packaging is desired
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
