Summary:
Qorvo has an opening for a Assembly Process Engineer at our Richardson TX facility. Candidate must be capable of working within functional teams to support production, process, and development efforts within the assembly organization.
Background or exposure working with back end wafer fabrication processing which could include: Wafer Grind, Die Singulation, wafer mount/demount, and Semiconductor Packaging is a plus.
Responsibilties:
- Develop and sustain processes within the package assembly facility.
- Position requires working full-time Monday - Friday
- Primary responsibilities will include developing, qualifying and maintaining mold, pick and place, hermetic sealing and other assembly processes associated with cutting edge package assembly.
- Need to work cross functionally with R&M, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure appropriate and timely support of processes
Qualifications:
- BS/MS/PhD or equivalent in engineering or physical science.
- Good understanding of process control, semiconductor processing or semicondutor assembly is desired.
- Strong understanding of thin wafer process equipment and hands-on experience highly preferred.
- This role will require supporting a manufacturing facility that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Proficiency is desired in design of experiments, statistical process control and database query tools (Oracle, Spotfire, Access etc).
- Data analysis, programming skills to aid data mining will be a plus.
- Position will demand large amounts of time working in a cleanroom environment
- Some lifting and standing will be required.
- Strong problem solving skills, and hands on ability are critical to this position.
- Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
