Applications Technician

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work from data sheets, schematics, diagrams, and/or verbal instructions to assemble and test RF circuits and systems.
  • Setup, maintenance, and calibration of an RF test bench and network analyzers.
  • Work closely with Business Unit Application Engineers to satisfy all external customer test data requests and requirements such as: EVB / DUT / Harness assemblies, manual hand clamping of multi part lots, highly complex modulated Tx/Rx testing, debugging, test diagram documentation, and test data presentations.
  • Assist in determining methods or actions for continued internal or customer quality improvement.
  • Solder components on a PCB using a microscope when necessary. 
  • Assist in the design, construction, testing, and debugging of test equipment
  • Collect, filter, and document large amounts of data

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing engineering technical support
  • Semiconductor device testing experience is a plus
  • Previous hands-on experience soldering 01005 and BGA components.
  • Basic understanding of RF test setups such as: Harmonics, VSWR, and Rx Band Noise.
  • Knowledge of electronic component operation.
