We are recruiting for a R&D BAW Intern. Intern will work on two main projects.

 

Design concepts: Research of advanced design topologies and/or incorporating new BAW technologies to achieve targeted design goal and improve filter performance. Project (s) objective, the intern will learn Qorvo BAW design flow, from schematic level to fully implemented filter. He/she will investigate different topologies and how they can be implemented using BAW technology.

 

Reverse engineering:  Tear down of competitive part and conduct detailed analysis of the performance, design, and technology used. In addition to using similar BAW design flow as the first project, Intern will learn various processes used in failure analysis lab.

 

This is a full-time Intern position located in Apopka, FL. The position will be temporary in nature and last approximately 6 to 12 months. 

 

Desired Degree: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing post-graduate degree in electrical engineering or physics
  • Completed some course work in RF/Microwave circuit design
  • Experience with electromagnetic/RF simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, AWR etc.)
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Familiar with RF measurement and its equipment: spectrum analyzers and network analyzers
  • Experience with filter design, impedance matching, or RF packaging is desired
