The successful candidate will be designing radio frequency integrated circuits for cellular handset applications in the Advanced Cellular Group. The candidate will support products during the entire product life cycle from product definition, design and through product release to end-of-life. As part of a cross-functional product development team the candidate will support other essential disciplines including Marketing, Applications, Project Management, Quality, Characterization and Production Testing. The position above is for Senior Analog Design Engineer with experience in Analog circuit design. The candidate will need to have experience in designing 1V to 1.8V Bias References, bandgap circuits, Op-Amps, bias networks, Current DACs, Oscillators, Level Shifters, Voltage Regulators and LDOs. Experience in SOI, CMOS and SiGe is a plus.



  • Design of various analog functional blocks like bandgaps, charge pumps, LDOs, level shifters, OpAmps, DACs
  • Work with IC Layout Design Engineers to optimize design and layout 
  • RF integration into multi-chip modules (MCM) including comprehensive mixed-signal
  • Support device characterization and troubleshoot measurements and RF/analog design issues
  • Writing detailed specifications
  • Conducting peer reviews of their designs, including expected and/or actual results
  • Writing regular program status updates, be able to execute to an aggressive schedule


  • MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering, 5 to 8+ years of experience in analog circuit design preferred
  • Extensive experience designing with Cadence
  • Experience in standard Analog design techniques including layout expertise
  • Experience in circuit design using various silicon technologies including SOI, CMOS  and SiGe technologies is plus
  • Detailed transistor-level knowledge; Capable of design-supporting analog circuitry such as current references, bandgaps, charge pumps, LDO’s, ADC’s, and level shifter 
  • Strong background with measurements and characterization
  • Working knowledge of device physics, especially tradeoffs for analog circuitry
  • Good communication skills, be able to work independently
  • Candidates with successful production release of RF ICs for mobile applications would be highly considered
