Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Qorvo Biotechnologies is developing diagnostic point-of-care (POC) platforms with the goal of increasing the speed and accuracy of medical testing, moving healthcare closer to the patient. Qorvo combines expertise in acoustic filter technology with microfluidics and medical test system integration to POC solutions for the medical diagnostics market. Qorvo Biotechnologies is part of Qorvo’s Infrastructure and Defense Products (IDP) business, which manufactures and markets high performance RF and mixed-signal integrated circuits for communications markets that connect, protect and power the world.

 

RESPONSBILITIES:

Responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing assigned engineering projects for Qorvo Biotechnologies.  Provide Mechanical Engineering support for all Qorvo biomanufacturing sites (USA, Australia).

  • Support design and implementation of automated equipment into production.
  • Support production and serve as SME for assigned equipment.
  • Support HVM site both on site and remote
  • Endure documents and drawings meet Qorvo standards.
  • Work closely with a team to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Support IQ/OQ/PQ of equipment

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with a team.
  • Multitasking as well as meeting manufacturing deadlines.
  • Experience with 3-D CAD (Solidworks preferred)
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative
  • Experience in a biomanufacturing production environment preferred
  • Must be able to work cross functionally with different levels and disciplines
  • Must be able to travel domestically and international (up to 60% of time)

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role with emphasis of equipment automation
  • Lean manufacturing
