Decawave is a pioneer in ultra-wideband (UWB) technology and provider of UWB solutions for mobile, automotive and IoT applications. Decawave was founded in 2007 and has deployed more than 8 million chipsets in more than 40 different market verticals – from smartphones to drones. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying, understanding and developing solutions to customers’ technical issues and creating technical specifications as such
- Researching UWB communications systems algorithms
- Developing system simulations and baseband architectures
- Developing RTLS algorithms and identifying trade-offs with implementation, deployment constraints, and customer issues
- Developing design methodologies and coding standards to enhance systems design efficiency: reuse and workflow
- Ensuring algorithms and architectures are suitable for implementation
- Ensuring system simulations are suitable for verifying and validating the hardware designs
- Providing solutions to deal with technical issues and advise approaches to address customer requirements
- Developing new algorithms and architectures as part of a portfolio of IP
- Identifying, comparing, selecting and implementing technology solutions to meet current and future needs
- Reviewing competitor patents to protect the Company from risks of patent infringement
- Defining and planning tasks and efforts required to meet with the company project goals
- Carry out the tasks and ensure that the project goals are met
- Ensure that systems projects are coordinated with the other technical teams
- Mentor and assist more junior members of the team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering or related field and 6+ years of experience in systems/algorithm development
- Excellent knowledge of RTL, RF design tools, digital and/or analog PHY Design
- Extended experience in algorithm development: Real Time Location including Angle of Arrival, Location Solvers, Ultra-Wideband, RF techniques, Antennas, Radar, Signal Processing, Receiver Design (esp BTLE & UWB), Silicon Design
- Solid background and advanced knowledge in Matlab/Python
- Very good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on own initiative to come up with innovative solutions
- Good communication skills, verbal & written
