SUMMARY
As AMS Design/Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and verification of RF/Analog blocks/subsystems from DC up to 10GHz. You will work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver the next generation products from concept to volume production. You will be expected to support concurrent engineering activities to ensure on-going production of quality products with high yield.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Verification
- Actively contribute to the generation of product specifications (ICs, evaluation system etc.)
- Design, verify and document RF/Analog blocks/subsystems (e.g. LNA, PA, VCO, PLL, mixers, bandgaps, LDO, DC-DC, ADC, DAC etc), up to an operating frequency of 10GHz, using industry standard tools and design flows
- Work with IC Layout Design Engineers to optimise design and layout
- Ensure that designs follow industry best practice design flows, verification techniques, Design For Test (DFT), isolation, power optimisation etc.
- Create the necessary design and product documentation and host design reviews
Interpersonal
- Interact with other engineers in the mixed signal, systems, digital/baseband/SW teams to ensure products are delivered to meet or exceed specifications, on time and where applicable within budget.
- Support IC Applications team in solving customer issues and solving and anticipating potential issues.
- Support concurrent engineering teams to ensure issues with current products are resolved in a timely manner and to ensure their on-going high yield in volume production.
- Produce high quality RF/Analog systems/sub-systems using industry best practice methods for design, verification and test according to project plans
- Produce block specifications and verification reports
- Actively participate in developing ICs targeted for high volume automotive by collaboration with the entire product team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering or related field and 7+ years of experience in relevant product development preferred.
- Experience in designing any of DC-DC’s, LNA’s, PA’s, VCO’s and mixers.
- Experience with high temp design practices and layout DFM.
- High frequency CMOS RF design up to 10 GHz
- High frequency CMOS analog design up to 2GHz preferred
- Low power IC design techniques
- Complete IC Design Flow: Analog IC Architecture Design and Modelling; IP Evaluation and Selection, Analog/Digital partitioning in mixed-signal systems
- Design in CMOS 40nm or less nodes
- Good interpersonal skills

- Good communication skills, verbal & written
- Good working knowledge of Cadence suite of analog design tools.
